Best Online Degrees

Christine Said:

What are the best schools that offer online degrees in nutrition?

We Answered:

Stick to this basic rule;

Enroll in STATE COLLEGES that offer on line degrees.
MOST of the on line colleges are NOT accreated so when you graduate, you will not be able to get a job .
And state colleges are cheaper, a lot cheaper, than private on-line schools.

what are the best online degrees to land a job upon completion?

We Answered:

I would recommend anything in the technology field, marketing, web development or anything that can benefit from advanced knowledge of the endless potential of the web.

This site has some good information on regionally accredited online degree programs and the colleges that offer them.

If you are considering going the online route I would recommend contacting a number of schools to find the best fit for you and your needs. Good luck!

Danielle Said:

What are the best online colleges and most respected online degrees?

We Answered:

We're one of the largest employers in the state and we consider all qualified candidates holding regionally accredited degrees.

Regardless of delivery method (on ground, online, hybrid), a higher ed INSTITUTION in the US can have 3 institutional accreditation statuses.

1. Regionally accredited - the highest and most useful.
2. Nationally accredited - real, but not as recognized or useful. Yes it is less than regional accreditation, which isn't intuitive.
3. Unaccredited

Penn State, Harvard have online programs, as well as many lesser known schools. I would look at www.degreeinfo.com for a good list.

Eugene Said:

Are Online degrees just as good as regular colleges? What are the best Online Schools to obtain a degree?

We Answered:

As long as any college you earn your degree from is regionally accredited your degree would be recognized by potential employers and other academic institutions. That having been said not all online colleges are viewed the same (just as not all campus based colleges are viewed the same) by potential employers. Even within the same college the business school might have a better reputation than say the nursing school or vice versa.
It is difficult to say what school is the best (either online or campus) as there are a number of factors that need to be considered. What is more important is finding the best college for you. My biggest recommendation would be to contact a number schools to find the best fit for you and your needs (tuition, schedule, career services, employment opportunities, etc.).
