Donald Said:
Do colleges in the UK accept SAT scores? We Answered:
The SAT is completely irrelevant for UK universities. They have different standardized tests in the UK.For universities in England, the "A-level" exam is the most common one. At most universities, admissions decisions are made solely on the basis of the A-level test grades. School grades are irrelevant, as are extracurricular activities, letters from your teacher, etc. If there are extenuating circumstances, you might be admitted with lower grades.
In Scottish universities, the standard test is the Scottish Highers.
Most universities have conversion tables between the A-level exam and various other standardized tests given in different countries. Because the A-level is supposed to be more advanced that the typical American high school curriculum, it is the AP Exam that you would have to take as an American to be admitted to an English university. Alternatively, you could enroll in a foundation year program, which is an extra year of catch-up work, and which allows you to enter the university as a first year student if you do well.

Applying to UK colleges? I'm a mexican student. :-]?We Answered:
Hiya! First of all, that's fantastic that you're considering applying to the UK- studying abroad is so important, so if you do all 4 yrs abroad it's even better!Secondly, don't listen to the person who answered before me who said to beware of racism. The US is a very racist place toward Mexicans, so if you've been able to deal with it here, you'll be fine in the UK. They're certainly no more racist than here, probably less. Unfortunately, it seems there is racism everywhere, so as upsetting as that is, it is no reason to refrain from living your dreams.
Now, about the actual application process: you need to apply to UCAS, the central university application agency for all universities in the UK. I believe the website is www.ucas.co.uk. They have a wealth of information, and will almost certainly have all the info you need. If not, I'm sure you can email someone there and get more info.
Basically, you submit the one application and on it you name up to 6 universities you want to apply to. In the UK you apply to a specific program (i.e. International Relations at Brunel University), rather than just to the uni itself. The universities will then each contact you with an offer, where they say that if you receive, for example, two 4s and a 3 on your AP exams then you will be admitted to the university. The one application costs about twenty pounds (around $40) I think.
Goooood Luck!
