I think it is a mistake. Grantham is a real university, but it is only nationally accredited, which is a lower level accreditation that may cause you problems if you go onto grad school or want to receive professional certification.

Look for regional accreditation, and look for an online division of a better known school such as Penn State.

If you have checked out online colleges, they are really expensive so it wont help you if your looking to save money.

Also, if our not good at self-studying then you wont be able to succeed with online schooling. Also, online colleges get a pretty bad reputation for not being a so called "real" college but i personally dont know anyone who has one tho.

My recommendation is just apply to a state college since thats a lot cheaper then going to a online university or a top university.

There are no credible (eg CAC/ABET-accredited) online degrees in Computer Science.

DeVry and Grantham have pretty good online degrees in Computer Engineering Technology. DeVry's degree is TAC/ABET accredited. Grantham's is not, but Grantham's degree is asynchronous so you can study at your own pace.

Online degrees in Computer Science do not have a good reputation, regardless of the source. Many knowledgeable companies do not hire such graduates. Also, online CS grads are not likely to do well when thrust into a high-pressure CS department — and likely will be humiliated. Much of CS is learned though classroom interaction and collaboration.

If you insist on an online CS degree, make sure it is CAC/ABET-accredited.

Better yet, get a degree in Computer Engineering Technology degree online instead.
