Computer Science Degree

Rhonda Said:

Would a computer science degree qualify for a video game programmer?

We Answered:

Video games these days are a very complicated field. Big game studios do look for programmer and people with CS degrees, but they only need a few for every project. What they are looking for mainly are artists to design and animate characters and levels. You can use a CS degree but you should look for a smaller company.

Rodney Said:

Can I start a computer science degree at the graduate level?

We Answered:

Yeah, you should go back and take requisite courses for admission, which should take about 1.5-2 years or so (the last two years of undergrad are the main courses). There should be no reason they would accept you as is though, no one would be able to keep up just "starting" at the masters level. It just does not make sense. To be a master in something, you need a basis. This does not have to be a bachelors degree though, but should be coursework.
