The only credits he may (or may not) obtain is for an elective course as Real Life experience credit.
I doubt any school will grant him credit towards any engineering courses.
And of course it will depend on the school as to whether or not they will even do this much (some schools don't even offer this).
I'm a licensed Master Electrician & an Engineer, so I'm familiar with your husband's predicament.

borg is right....make SURE that you get a degree from an ABET accredited school. An engineering degree that isn't ABET accredited is worth significantly less than one that is.
