Forensic Science Degree

Norman Said:

To be a CSI do you have to have a forensic Science degree or is it ok to have a criminal justice degree?

We Answered:

Criminal Justice is more related to Law, the Justice System and its branches than CSI related jobs. It would probably be best if you have a Forensic Sciences Degree.

What is a good minor for a Forensic Science Degree?

We Answered:

Probably Psychology, as a minor. Others include Biology or Neuroscience if you want to go the more scientific route, which may be recommended in this day and age.

Sharon Said:

Should I get a forensic science or chemistry degree?

We Answered:

I would go for chemistry, and then if you still want to you can probably add forensic chemistry since most of the credits would cross over. That way if the forensic falls out, you have the more general one to fall back on. And if the forensic field is flooded when you get there then you will have a notch up by also having the more general stuff under your belt.
