Prof Ranto can't separate "online graduate degree" from "online university". His own alma matter offers online graduate degrees and certificates and he seems to hold them in high esteem.

Academic MA's are not nearly as common online as are business and education.

Prescott College has it but I don't believe that they are 100% online.

U Oxford (the Oxford) has an undergrad advanced certificate in local history online http://advdiplocalhistory.conted.ox.ac.u… they also teach some history courses and archeology online.

Fort Hayes State University offers their Master of Liberal Arts with a concentration in history online. http://www.fhsu.edu/mls/conc/history.sht…

There may be more - these are just those I'm aware of. If you're interested in expanding your search into Liberal Arts or Humanities, there are more than a few others worth considering.

I don't know anyone that has done an online course paid for by their company, but I do know people who have done graduate work paid for by their company and all of their school stuff was done in addition to their work (so night classes and homework on the weekend). It would be odd for your company to let you do your courses and work during work hours since they are already paying for your school.
