Many places see University of Phx as a Degree mill. Especially if your going into teaching. Colleges are often more picky about where you go to school. If you have other options available you might want to consider them.

THE BIG TEST IS see how the degree is viewed by future potential employers.

My brother has worked at UoP for 2 years now. The class structue is unique. all of your classes are kinda melted into one program of study. He seems to like it.
Problem is that most of the credits are difficult to transfer if you do switch schools later

It is prety dang expensive compared to state universities.

I too have heard good things about Villanova's online program but I am not sure if they have a masters program in education for math. I did a search for fully accredited degrees in mathematics education and found this site. It has two schools for you to check out. I have heard good things about Marygrove's Teachscape program and don't see it listed many places.

As long as the college (online or campus based) is regionally accredited, any degree you earn should be accepted by any potential employers or other academic institutions.
My best recommendation would be to contact a number of colleges to find the best fit for you and your needs (tuition, schedule, career opportunities, etc.). Too often people enroll in the first school they find rather than taking the time to find the best school for them. Taking that time now could save you a lot of time, money and frustration if you choose the wrong school.

I am currently pursing a master's degree at Capella University in Reading and Literacy. And so far I have had a great experience with my classes. One of my friend's earned a master's degree in counseling and now works as a school counselor. She enjoyed the program.
