Best MBA Degree Programs? Do online grad degrees seem a dime a dozen??We Answered:
An employer is most likely not going to respect an online MBA degree from University of Phoenix. Since I know how much University of Phoenix costs, I would wonder about the UoP MBA graduate's cost management skills. Why spend over $700 per semester credit hour for an MBA program that is not AACSB accredited? Especially when there are AACSB accredited programs that are much cheaper. For those who don't know, AACSB accreditation is an additional program accreditation for business programs. It is over and above regional accreditation. I believe that all big state universities have AACSB accreditation for their business programs.
If you have the option of attending your local university, that would probably be best. If you have to attend online, Mississippi State University has an AACSB accredited MBA program for $444 per semester credit hour. http://www.distance.msstate.edu/
Always check accreditation of a school before enrolling. You can do this at http://ope.ed.gov/accreditation/search.a… You can learn more about accreditation at http://www.ed.gov/admins/finaid/accred/i… You can learn more about AACSB accreditation at http://www.aacsb.edu/
Good luck

Do any schools offer dual DO & MBA degree programs? We Answered:
I doubt it. It would be mixing business disciplines with medical practices. they are totally unrelated. That is not to say the DOs don't get the MBA, which can help them to manage their practice. There is a lot of information available in free public service sites. Some sites are limited to specific countries, such as Germany, UK, or Australia. Some list a small number of select schools, while others may include more than 2,000 MBA programs listed worldwide. You can find the program that best fits you. You can search for programs by location (US, Europe, Far East, etc.), by concentration (finance, marketing, aviation management, health management, accounting, etc.), by type of program (full-time, distance learning, part-time, executive, and accelerated), and by type of degree (MBA, MS, Ph.D). In some cases you can select your own criteria and preferences to get a list of universities that satisfy your needs. You can find data on entrance requirements, program costs, program characteristics, joint degrees such as MBA/JD, and much more. Some sites have links to the schools' web sites, or provide email addresses to contact schools of your choice, and send them pre-applications. You can find lists of top schools ranked by various periodicals or ranked by starting salaries of graduates, GMAT scores, and other criteria. Generally you should stay away from any sites that require you to pay to get information or that promise to find scholarships for you or ensure acceptance into a program.

Why do some degree programs, like the Executive MBA, require work experience for admission? We Answered:
A lot of degrees require some sort of work experience. (see medical degrees) The purpose of work experience is so that, in the classroom, a discussion can be held on what was experienced. (Did the procedure go correctly, was it the best approach, how could it have been done differently, etc.)Class room or book knowledge is basically theory, so practical experience has to be done to balance out the total learning experience.
It also gives the student exposure to what the real job is about and then he/she can determine if they should pursue their objective further. Imagine studying business for 6 years only to find out that you can't take office politics?
Would you want to hire a lawyer that had only read books? Would you want a doctor to examine you that had only worked with cadavers?
