Which is the best college I can learn ONLINE ASSOCIATE DEGREE IN NURSING IN TEXAS with few contact classes?

Ummm... Unless I'm mistaken, any online course for nursing will involve a lot of hands-on classes since with nursing, you need to practice a lot of techniques and whatnot. So good luck but I wouldn't be too hopeful.

Legal Assistant Associate Degree online?

We Answered:

Online classes look tacky and unimpressive on a resume.

Here's a link to ABA accredited schools in NY: http://www.abanet.org/legalservices/para…

Don't waste your time or money with on-line classes. You cannot learn legal stuff online, you just can't.

The only schools worth going to are ABA (American Bar Association) accredited, and trust me, potential employers will ask if your school was ABA accredited. ABA accredited schools may have the generel education (like english, math, science, etc) classes online, but the substantive legal classes are on campus because it can't be taught and learned online. So you might be able to take some of your classes online, but the rest you will have to go on campus for.

What is the best associate's degree to get online?

Just make sure very sure what ever you choose is regionally accredited a national accreditation will not 1. transfer in most cases to another school 2. not generally recognized by privet sector employers 3. usually much more expensive than brick and mortar schools.

Zachary Said:

Can you become a louisiana game warden with a online associate degree in criminal justice?

We Answered:

Review the hiring qualifications for the position (web site or contact agency), presumably any degree from an accredited institution should be acceptable. Some employers may hire based on their perceptions of the quality of education offered by the degree granting institution. If you plan to do graduate work, and want to get into a program recognized by a professional field, it is a competitive process and the school you attended may have some effect; although, a high GPA and graduate entrance exams are also required.

If all you are going to do is get a 2 or 4-year degree, an online university may be sufficient. Or, it may be better/cheaper to go to a community college for the first 2 years, then transfer to the best college available (assuming a good GPA).

The first priority in identifying the credibility of any college is regional accreditation , and "technical schools" (like ITT) are less likely to be accredited. Agencies that require a degree generally require that the degree be obtained from an accredited institution. The US has six legitimate recognized regional accreditation agencies accreditors:
New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC)
North Central Association Commission on Accreditation and School Improvement(NCA)
Middle States Association of Schools and Colleges (MSA)
Southern Association of Schools and Colleges (SACS)
Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC)
Northwest Association of Schools and Colleges (NWCCU)

“If you earn a degree from an online school that is accredited by one of these associations, you can be assured that it will be as valid as a degree from any regular university. Most employers and other universities will automatically accept your degree.
National Accreditation vs. Regional Accreditation
Alternatively, some online schools are accredited by the Distance Education Training Council. The DETC is also recognized by the United States Department of Education and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation. DETC accreditation is considered valid by many employers. However, many regionally accredited schools will not accept course credits from DETC accredited schools and some employers may be leery of these degrees. …
You can find out instantly if an online school is accredited by a regional accreditor, the DETC, or another legitimate accreditor recognized by the United States Department of Education by searching the United States Department of Education database. You may use the CHEA website to search for both CHEA and USDE recognized accreditors (off-site link) or to view a chart comparing CHEA and USDE recognition (off-site PDF chart).

Note that "recognition" of an accrediting agency does not guarantee a particular degree will be accepted by schools and employers. Ultimately, regional accreditation remains the most widely accepted form of accreditation for degrees earned both online and at brick-and-mortar universities.” (http://distancelearn.about.com/od/accred…
