Look at your local community colleges. More and more community college classes are going online. If the one closest to you doesn't have anything, look at other ones in nearby areas. Public community colleges are accredited, cheap, and their classes should transfer to a 4 year university.

Keep in mind that for a science degree like biology, you will have to take labs, and you won't be able to take those online. Any online college that offers an online-only biology degree is almost certainly not accredited.

Yes, you are right; it would be difficult to get this kind of degree online. You should go to your closest colleges and see how many classes you can take on line. Most colleges now have a large amount of there colleges online. Also, it would be difficult to get a job if you don't have the lab expereicne. These are hands on type of jobs and you will have to go to the school to get your classes. Sorry, there is no way around it.

There are hundreds of universities in the U.S. that offer these degrees. Some of the better Universities out there in this field: Oregon State, Cornell, Michigan, University of Montana, Humboldt State, Wisconsin - Stevens Point, UC Davis. However, I would recommend finding a topic (e.g. landscape ecology, population genetics, ornithology, etc) that interests you and contact experts in that specific field to see if they are taking on grad students.
