The degree you are going for is is good degree. But keep in meed there was a slump there in construction. But till the time you will finish your degree the market will recover more or less. But do select for an online college carefully and stay away from scams. There are lots of online colleges out here on net but yes only few of them are legit rest are just scams that are just there to ruin you. So you ought to beware of them and stay strictly away from them.

As per my experience working in Project Management, i think, construction management will provide you a competitive edge in construction industry since it will expose you into different fields of engineering. Also, studying directly in a university will give you the actual "feel" of construction.

I have been looking for the same thing a bachelors in construction managment online. It hasn't been easy but I found two that are regionally accredited, National Univeristy in California and univeristy of Arkansas at little Rock. Univeristy of Arkansas is accredited by american council on construction education and National University is not. Both of these schools have extremely high tuition rates if you are out of state. If you decide to attend one ofe these schools I would recommend getting your general education courses somewhere else and transfer credits to these schools. It would save you alot of money. Overall if you attend one of these schools I would recommend Univeristy of Arkansas at Little Rock since it is recognized better than National University.

You need to find a program recognized by ACCE, or else your degree will not be worth the time and money you put into it. Is there a local school that offers evening courses? (for instance, In Philly, Drexel does) This could be a viable option for a busy professional.

If you want to be taken seriously as an educated person, with upward career mobility, you need to get a Bachelor's degree. A Degree in Construction Management should be ATMAE-accredited. Many of the universities offer this degree partly on-line, but some on-campus is usually necessary. Many of the programs are offered as 2+2. meaning half the courses can be taken at a nearby campus. When you finish the degree, make sure you become Certified by ATMAE as a CTM — Certified Technology Manager.

South University may be accredited, but it gets no respect. It does have a School of Pharmacy but South University is known mostly as a "trade school".
