ABET actually only accredits undergraduate programs with the exception of Louisville which offers an accredited dual BS-MS degree. That being said typically a MS is looked at as from an accredited school if it comes from a program that's BS is accredited. Whether you would be able to get a license with the MS would vary from state to state but I believe you would be okay. If from what you are looking to do is become a chemical engineer then getting a license isn't a bid deal as that is covered under the industry exemption. As for it being online. If it is from a reputable school it should be looked at as the same. You don't really even have to say that it was done online, since you will get the same diploma as someone in the class room. Hope that helps. Job market sucks for everyone right now, but I don't think a MS will hurt you.
