Needs to be accredited by the ALA (American Library Assoc) else it is completely worthless in the US and Canada. With that said, there are a small handful of distance ed programs for MLS degrees. See the link below

They are online colleges that do offer associates in science. But it has to be a particular type of science. With that you can transfer to a four year college. With most four year colleges you must complete at least 40 to 60 credit hours in order to transfer. I know cause I have been through this same thing.

Have you completed high school or a high school equivalence already? That's going to be a prerequisite for any degree program.

Speaking as someone who did do a computer science degree, you really do need to have a really firm grasp on all the courses you have taken in high school to succeed.

But there's nothing stopping you from getting a head start in learning computer programming. There are a number of sites that will teach you Java or C++ or pretty much any other language you want to learn.

The 180 credits at OSU are quarter-based credits, while the 120 credits at ASU are credits calculated on the semester based credits. Thus, 1 semester credit equals 1,5 quarter credits. It is just a different method of calculation.

Also Regent University offers a BA in Government and MA in Government online, but it is quiet costly. Much cheaper is the American Military University, but it is sole distance institution of higher education. Troy University offers also a political science degree online, which is the cheapest I know about. Me, I am currently at Oregon State University, because it is the cheapest and offers foreign languages in the online format in order to meet the Bachelor of Arts requirements.
