They really don't exist. The Life Experience degrees that you find on the internet will say that they are accredited, but when you research, the accreditation isn't legitimate. You clearly have a case where an institution you attended has no business being in the education business.

These "diploma mills" or whatever you wish to call them offer course work that is not transferable to honorable institutions and their certificates and degrees are not worth the paper they are printed on.

Offering college credit for "life experience" is another indicator of an inferior institution and often their credits do not transfer to honorable institutions.

If you wish to exert the effort for college course work, go to a place that offers credits that are transferable and that offer accredited degree programs. Failure to do so is just a waste because employers see through the junk institutions.

There are none. The previously mentioned Belford University is NOT accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education, Office of Postsecondary Education. A degree from Belford is worthless and in some states illegal to use to get a job or promotion.

Some regionally accredited schools will give credit for life experience and there are ways to challenge courses for credit. However, to the best of my knowledge, there are no valid schools that will award a valid degree for life experience.

There are some schools that have online programs that are accredited. However, none will allow you to get a degree based solely on life experience. If a school does offer a degree using life experience only, it is a sure sign of a diploma mill.

However, all is not lost. If you have experience, there are schools that will give SOME credit for work experience. There are also schools that will give credit for industry certifications.
