Computer Short Courses
Fernando Said:
Does anyone know where you can have short basic computer courses in Melborne? We Answered:
I'm guessing that Melborne is pretty much like every other large city. It probably has libraries, high schools and colleges that offer adult continuing education classes. I'd start there and find out what's available. You might also find out that the full time instructors offer various courses in the evening or on weekends. Perhaps even the students themselves offer tutoring type courses.plrr

Bachelor's Degree in IT/CS or short computer courses? What programming languages shld. I study? We Answered:
Planning on relocating to India are we?Seriously, the boom-boom IT days are pretty much over. A huge number of IT jobs have flowed to India, China and elsewhere. More IT jobs will be lost to overseas cheap or psuedo-slave labor markets. Is there still a market for coders in the US? Yes. Is it more difficult to find that kind of work? Yes.
If you go for a full Computer Science degree, you will not have a choice in which programming languages you learn. Also, a CS degree requires some heavy duty math courses as well.
Having said all that. Languages I would learn today if need presented: Visual Basic, C++, and XML, maybe JAVA. You are better off focusing on languages like XML and JAVA that are for the web if you are thinking about taking on some of these on your own. However, at the end of the day, employers are most impressed by the CS degree and will take those candidates over trade schools like Chubb Institute or self taught people.

which are the most demandable computer related courses to have good job?We Answered:
Exactly what do you want to do? If you're interested in computer repair, you should get the A+ certification. If you're looking for something like networking or programming, you not only need certifications such as CCNA, you also need at least a bachelor's degree. But the exact classes you'll need will vary. For example while programmers concentrate on classes like Java, C++, etc., networkers focus on computer organization, networking and troubleshooting, etc, engineers on visio, autocad, etc. So you see, it class has its importance and the classes you need to take depend on what you want to do.Pamela Said:

I'm an auditor and I want to take up computer short courses. What's the best course that would be useful to meWe Answered:
Microsoft Excel and Office, of courseKathryn Said:
what r the various other computer courses that r offered for short term benefits? We Answered:
There are plenty of courses. Not sure about your background. Seems you are looking for a quick fix or a short cut. There used to be that but not anymore as plenty of fish in the sea.
You have to ask yourself what's your interest is in, hardware, software etc
Beware with software comes plenty of good opportunities but you need to be well aware of programming.
Look for SAP admin expensive but worth if you do not like much programming. Else look for Java, .net etc on the programming front
