This course is to show parents the type of coursework and homework that their children undertake on a regular basis.It is also to advise any parents in the basic use of computers eg emails and Internet use.
If there are parents who would like to pass on their knowledge in this session,please also come to the course as 1:1 work would be of great benefit.




* I have done similar things.The second part is because (in my case) one of my parents was THE Computing Officer for one of the most prestigious Universities in the world...use that knowledge...the parents probably prefer it to teachers !

So your interested in programing I guess. If you got some type of basic programming skills you should be cool with taking 2 classes at a time. More than likely you'll do a 8 hour per day boot camp. If you still living at home and you want to take yourr sweet time go to community college and take the classes. It take a good chunk of time but it'll be cheap. Other wise go to a New Horizons type school. Those type jobs still exist in the US are there are still solid markets. IT/IS placement agencies can place you really fast.

Are you kidding? I take it that you're an adult employed at a school but that you can't write a letter, or have you just got yourself stressed out over nothing? Make sure you let parents know everything they need to know in order to make a decision, contact you, turn up, etc. Whatever you do get someone to check your letter for content, spelling and grammar, not necessary perhaps but it'll give you extra confidence.

I teach at a community college in Michigan and we offer students the opportunity to learn the skills for several CompTIA and Microsoft examinations, as well as the basics of consulting and workplace skills. The entire program is around $10,000 including book cost.

I would suggest that you look for coursework in Microsoft (Windows Vista and 2003/2008 Server) and the CompTIA A+ & Network+.
