Diploma In Horticulture

Marion Said:

certificate 3 in horticulture is enough to get 60 point or shall i need any diploma course also,i?

We Answered:

If 'here' is Australia, you need to have attained AQF Certificate III or a higher qualification if you are nominating a 462x Horticultural Tradesperson occupation such as 4621-11 Nurseryperson or 4623-11 General Gardener.

I had cert 3, studying 3 diplomas at Mildura Tafe about Horticulture&Business, What visa should I apply later?

We Answered:

For an 886, you must have either an eligible relative or a state/territory government to sponsor you and must score 100 points on the points test. You will need to go to each state's website to see if any are offering sponsorships for your occupation - state sponsored visas receive the highest priority processing.
A relative sponsored 886 isn't as good as a state sponsored as only those for occupations on the CSL are being processed at present, so there is likely to be a long delay in getting a relative sponsored visa.

A 485 is a temporary visa which allows you to work without restriction for up to 18 months (and can sometimes be extended) in order to gain sufficient Australian experience in order to qualify for a permanent visa. Your problem will be that your occupation isn't on either of the priority lists of occupations (CSL or MODL) so it's doubtful if staying and working in the occupation for 18 months will get you an 885 permanent visa, at least until the economic crisis eases and our priorities change again. Your best chance on a 485 would be to find an employer who is willing to sponsor you for a temporary 457 or, if you're very fortunate, a permanent RSMS 119/857.

Has to be a Swiss one for me. This is mine....

Works a treat and the hooked end makes it good for cutting stems just below ground level so leaves the plants looking neat. Great for cutting asparagus too. It really does depend what you feel most comfortable with. I would suggest going to a a good garden tool supplier and handling them. You have to feel comfortable with it in your hand but never buy cheap because it won't last five minutes!
Good luck with the diploma.
