the board which conduct this exam is NCHMCTAN, pusa complex new delhi, this is government's autonomous body under ministry of tourism, invites application during month of oct-nov and you have to appear for written exam(same like SSC paper...reasoning,maths,english) in the month of feb/mar ...sometimes in april 1st week, then there would be counselling ,and according to your merit list IHM institutes would be allocated to you....Grading are like IHM-Mumbai,Delhi,Banglore,Hyderabad,Luck… so on u can long into NCHMCTAN's website or any of the institutes's website fro more details.ihm mum no is 022-24457241, all the best !!!

I think you should work in a lower class hotel first to get some first hand experience,
then apply for a job in a 5 star hotel.

You might have to work for a year or two in another hotel though,
but if you can hang in there,
you'll get your dream job :)

But remember one thing;
don't act like you dislike your job,
cause if the manager at the 5 star hotel ask the manager at your first job,
and he goes:
"You don't want that person working for you, he/she dislikes working at a hotel"
