After being involved in inventory/logistics management for over 10 years, I've found that a degree in logistics helps...but only to a certain extent.

In regards to obtaining a good street cred...I'd say a certification with a bachelor's degree (in anything) would be very sufficient for for your needs to find a good job that pays well.
In most areas, an APICS certification and a Bachelor's Degree could help you land a job that pays a minimum of 50,000 year or more (even in the 6 figures)....depending upon the region you live in and what area of logistical expertise your in.

There are various choice for diploma in logistics management in Singapore, and some of the more well known programmes may include PSB and Kalpan Singapore. Note that the diplomas offered by all 3 institutes (including Singapore Institute of Material Management) are unaccredited (worthless). If you want to find a job after graduation, you are highly recommended to get a degree from a partner university that is accreditted. The diplomas are only mean to be an alternative pathway into a degree.

You are right. Stick to your industry. It is not a good idea to change horses in mid-stream. What you can do is keep on studying about your field. There are now online courses and open universities which enable you to work and study at the same time.
