Diploma In Marketing Management
Jose Said:
Where will a diploma in marketing and advertisng take me?We Answered:
You can be a marketing associate. In many companies they mean a straight sales person. As you gain experience , you can try to do strategic marketing, which is very different from sales. This covers market demographics, promotion, trade events, analysis of effectiveness of such events, ROI of campaigns/promotions, PLC ( Product Life Cycle ) , EOL, and Mid-life kickers.
But most marketing types have to do a stint at field sales first - most companies use that to weed out the ones looking for an easy career.

"Technology Education Diploma In Marketing"?We Answered:
You can't go wrong by studying marketing, and as more and more businesses come to rely upon the power of the Internet, there is clearly a great future in understanding the technology behind marketing.Marketing is an umbrella term that covers several areas, including:
Advertising
Sales
Public Relations
Events
Promotion
There are obviously several career choices that fall within each of these categories. As far as technology goes, when I was at my last company IT (Information Technology) supported a great number of our marketing initiatives. IT was active in the development, design and launch of our website(s), IT also built and managed our customer database. We were constantly using our database to connect and re-connect with customers based on their previous buying decisions, and we always finding new ways to build and refine the information that went into the database. If that kind of thing interests you, you may find IT very fulfilling.
I can't speak to how much every position pays. I can only say that, for me, marketing has been a very rewarding career.
My primary degree was in Speech Communication. I came up through the ranks of advertising and now manage the marketing department of a publicly held company with 410 stores nationwide. If you are able to combine IT with Marketing (or Marketing with IT), you will be home free.
Good luck!
