In some cases, sure, but unless you back it up with real world applications... then it's just fancy paperwork that says you're good at taking tests.

Multiple choice questions have no application in reality. So all the certs in the world mean nothing if you can't actually do it. If you get your certs... get matching real world experience to go with it.

Certification can be very expensive. The classes are expensive, and the tests are expensive. But if it gets you your dream job, isn't it worth it?
