Diploma In Occupational Therapy
Darryl Said:
I like to ask about Occupational Therapy Assistant? We Answered:
depending on which setting "hospital or outpatient ect" may help determine how easy it is to find the position. cota's require supervision from an otr, in outpatient practice it is not cost effective to have a cota and an otr on staff. however in a hospital setting cota's seem to be more utilized. If you are contimplating going to school for the additional time to become an otr you won't regret the pay increase or independence.ps. pt's make more money.

What do Occupational Therapist do?We Answered:
therapy based on engagement in meaningful activities of daily life, especially to enable or encourage participation in such activities in spite of impairments or limitations in physical or mental functions. As quoted by http://wordnetweb.princeton.edu/perl/web…Occupation can be defined as "active process of living: from the beginning to the end of life, ... occupations are all the active processes of looking after ourselves and others, enjoying life, and being socially and economically productive over the lifespan and in various contexts". As being said in Wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Occupationa…

Associate Degree in Occupational Therapy? University or college? We Answered:
Most universities don't give associate's degrees at all; they are two-year degrees, and universities are focused on four-year and longer programs. I would do two things. First, I would talk to the colleges which offer such programs and would investigate their programs. Go to a respected institution, not a "career college". Secondly, while talking to the colleges, I would ask them about some of the organizations which hired their graduates. Then, I would contact the Human Resources departments at those organizations, and ask them about their feelings about OTA programs. How useful are they, how often do they hire them, and where do the best come from.Salvador Said:
