Which is better? Physiotherapy diploma and degree conversion or Chemical engineering and Econs double degree? We Answered:
hi! I'm a year 2 physio student studying at NYP now, I came across your qn while doing some research. Firstly, how old are u? The intake for physio starts in April, so u already missed this year's intake and will have to wait till next year to apply again. Of course, if you were a guy still in army then u won't have to waste any time, but if u're a girl waiting to go into uni, then that's different story. anw, i think it all boils down to interest, if you're interested in the profession then write to a hospital to ask if you can come down to visit and talk to the physio's or be attached to them for a week so that u can find out more and better make ur decision then. Yes there are career prospects in singapore but u prob won't earn more than 4k unless u go into higher management if u're talking about working in a hospital, for private practice, u can earn maybe up to 20k? I dunno, depends on whether u're zai anot lah. The degree conversion is only applicable if u've done the diploma in NYP, so don't even think about that now. There are other things u should consider also, like whether u can cope with letting people know that u're in a poly, being treated as a poly student, it's quite frustrating sometimes and there are a lot of rules and restrictions in a poly as compared to a uni. But all these shouldn't be too much of a prob if u really wanna be a physio. I feel that the NYP course is not very good, there's a lot of self study, and sometimes it's as though they are asking too much for the amount they teach, quite difficult to do well. Many give up along the way, my class had 24 initially, now we're down to 17. It definitely pales in comparison with Australian uni's. My conclusion is, if u really wanna do physio, go overseas, if no money then do it at NYP. but that is only if u REALLY wanna be a physio.Janet Said:

can someone with a diploma in physiotherapy qualify for a degree course in universities? (anywhere!)?We Answered:
No expert on the whole world but I don't think Canada is very unusual in it's attitudes. Probably a little more generous than most. Many if not all of your credits would be recognized by most Canadian Universities, depending on how reputable the school you studied in is. Also if not you could write challenge exams to prove you know the subject to Canadian standards.
Also your language skills should be good for a few liberal arts credits. Most of us only speak English, or French or Both. ( In my case add Latin and Japanese )
I suggest you look into the University of Waterloo in Ontario. Very respected for physio and kinestectics nice City Low Crime peaceful.

Micheal Said:
i just finished my physiotherapy, can i pursue a part time or a diploma course in MBA or MHA?We Answered:
Of course you can. But most MBA programs prefer students with 2-3 years work experience after the first degree. Some accept students right out of college if they have good grades and a high GMAT score. Some MBA programs are designed specifically for new college graduates without work experience. But in those programs you don't get the benefit of learning from other students who have work experience. A lot of valuable learning takes place through class interaction. You can probably get into the MHA program without work experience. Which program you prefer depends on your career goals. The MBA is a general business degree training students for top level management positions up to CEO or for those with entrepreneurial objectives of starting their own business. Other masters degrees prepare you for staff positions rathe than management.
Before you decide on an MBA program explore the Internet for information on available programs. There is a lot of information available in free public service sites. Some sites are limited to specific countries, such as Germany, UK, or Australia. Some list a small number of select schools, while others may include more than 2,000 MBA programs listed worldwide. You can find the program that best fits you. You can search for programs by location (US, Europe, Far East, etc.), by concentration (finance, marketing, aviation management, health management, accounting, etc.), by type of program (full-time, distance learning, part-time, executive, and accelerated), and by type of degree (MBA, MS, Ph.D). In some cases you can select your own criteria and preferences to get a list of universities that satisfy your needs.
You can find data on entrance requirements, program costs, program characteristics, joint degrees such as MBA/JD, and much more. Some sites have links to the schools' web sites, or provide email addresses to contact schools of your choice, and send them pre-applications. You can find lists of top schools ranked by various periodicals or ranked by starting salaries of graduates, GMAT scores, and other criteria. Generally you should stay away from any sites that require you to pay to get information or that promise to find scholarships for you or ensure acceptance into a program. Before you provide any personal information to a site, be sure to read their privacy policy and make sure they are not harvesting email addresses for sale.
