Diploma In Youth Work

Roland Said:

Should I go to university after I get my diploma or just start working? HELP ME PLEASE :(?

We Answered:

Personally, I would continue to try and get the undergrad degree then the education degree. Even though it will leave you with more debt, in the long run, a college education and a good degree is priceless. There is no guarantee that you will stay in that small town forever, and if you were to move to a city, you would find it a lot easier to find work with a good degree. On the other hand, if you want to stay in that town, and you are ready to get a job and move in with your boyfriend, and you don't think that you want more debt, then getting the job would be the best option. However, really you need to do what your heart is telling you. You should write a list of the pros and cons of doing each thing and discuss it with your family and your boyfriend and think it over and then decide what is right for you.

Heading to the UK with a diploma in community/social welfare - Employment Options- NQV equivalencey?YOT?

We Answered:

The UK is making massive cuts in the employment of public workers an this will include the areas of work you would be interested in. We have a massive debt which our new government are trying to deal with. I honestly don't think much to your chances as we will have qualified people made redundant, all applying for everything that crops up.

Jay Said:

Am I over-reacting or is my mother completely over the line?

We Answered:

You are not overreacting at all. Your mother has issues, that much is apparent. Try to reason with her when she is not emotional and see what she says. Tell her, "Mum, you did a good job raising me and I am none of those things you accuse me of. Why have you become so demanding and hateful suddenly? I don't deserve this treatment and am quite hurt by it." If she starts screaming at you after that, she is full-on mental and her behavior will never change.

Ruby Said:

Can I get a UK Working Visa if I have criminal convictions ?

We Answered:

We in the UK are flooded out with migrants, our Jails are full and it has been shown that this crime wave is as a result of a mad immigration policy by the British "government".

13.5% of people in UK jails have foreign passports, even more are people who have been given UK passports recently and think they are "British"

We are in the worst recession in over 70 years and soon perhaps 8 million people will be out of work here. Gun and knife crime (new to the UK on this massive scale) is now off the charts.

The answer is we do not want any more immigration never mind those with even minor criminal records

What would a career in Business administration involve?

We Answered:

Hahaha....you need a Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in Business Administration from an ACCREDITED university if you want to work in the Business Administration career field. If you have anything less than a B.S., then you won't get hired because they teach everything you need to know about that field in college when you choose that major and you can even do an internship at a company(I am assuming you did not go to college). It's like someone who wants to work as a Doctor but lacks a Medical degree and hands-on experience through an internship. Same thing! So, if you want to work in Business Administration, then go to college and get that degree! It's not too late you know!

Danny Said:

Will a diploma in youth and community studies allow me to immigrate to Australia?

We Answered:

For Australian requirements a Bachelor is the min education - which is a 3-4 year university degree. Diplomas are usually from community colleges (in the US) and are of lower quality and more inline with our TAFE system. They are also not 4 years in length which is how long Bachelor degree are in other countries. So possible for the girlfriend (as an enrolled nurse though not a registered nurse - so lower pay and job expectations) but not for you.

Your girlfriend will possible be able to immigrate after she has obtained a couple of years experience in the area - she could then sponsor you if you have lived together for 12 months or are prepared to get married within 12 months of getting here.

Discuss It!
