How picky are you being? Maybe you should get a job that doesn't pay as well as you'd like, doing what you're trained or want to do, and just keep hunting in the meantime. At least you'll have a cash flow and won't be as depressed or moody.

Don't doubt yourself; that will just end up lowering your self-esteem and it takes forever to boost confidence again.

If you really want good paying job in construction he can take up Civil Engineering, or Sanitary engineering, or Electrical Engineering or Architectural courses. Though, I would not discount trades, its backbraking work but pays good too, like Master electrician, HVAC, Plumbing, Articulated vehicle operator/or heavy equipment operators and etc.

Australia is a great place to move there. i am doing all i can to move there as well. Also a great city to work at is Sydney. its 193 miles by 62 miles. I am sure you will find the job just fine. As i was there last time i saw plenty of places that involve your work!!

Also up the coast about 400 miles lyes a small town called Coffs Harbour, and just a bit inland, Coffs Harbour. I went there to visit my cousins. I voted it as the best place in Australia. It is very cool!! it is very calm, and it can never be too stressful!!

Go to Europe!!!! (Switzerland, Ireland, Spain, and Sweden especially) They have more liberal policies towards asylum seekers and skilled immigrants, especially more so than America.

Ignore all the idiots sending you to monster.com. Those are all for American positions, where you'll need a US visa first before you can even apply for them. The US makes it very difficult to gain a visa from war-torn or high conflict areas too.

Try the individual embassies for the European countries. If you're skilled in construction and bi-lingual as you appear to be, you should be able to get a visa from at leat one of them.

I know that Sweden in particular has taken special policies towards accepting Iraqi asylum seekers. So I would try their embassy first.

1.Prepare a deteiled schedule of ALL construction activities
2.Find the most critical path ie; the activity which can throw your schedules in chaos
3 Monitor material consumption norms & wastages
4 Monitor deliveries of supplies to site
5. Hve a damn good store keeper so things are not lost & you dont waste time looking for stuff
6 Obtain daily reports & weekly reports of concluded tasks & tsks behind schedules
7. Ensure perfect co-ordination between various agencies
8.You cannot do any of this with out building a damn good rpport with ALL PEOPLE
9 If you cannot find solutions to peoples problems then you are ineffective.
10 The correct statement of a problem is 90% of the solution

11 you dont have to know everything if u dont understand a term immediately ask for its meaning never mind the scepticism by & by people will know that you fully understand what you say & what they are talking about.

12 Hold co-ordination & schedule monitoring meetings. Circulate the agenda before hand & dont allow anybody to leave the room till the agenda is complete even if it goes till 3 am

13Be in the office at 9.00 sharp the next morning

14 Remember that delays result in cost escalation but that is peanuts compared to the percieved loss in profits had the plant been up & running by the target date.
