diplomas and doctrates can be funded via scholarships from the uni you are applying to.

The uni I'm at give a 3rd off for your diploma and full funds your PhD (everything from fees, accommodation, living expenses, and even invites you to teach the undergrads)

other than that, the governement provides learning funds (really look into this one) and other funds available for you if you are of a low income status. see www.direct-gov.co.uk

There is not a post-grad diploma in psychology here in Canada. However, you may find that you can transfer a number of your credits from you BSc degree toward another Bachelors degree with a psychology major.
