High School Diploma Classes

Arthur Said:

Can you take high school classes and/or receive a high school diploma while in boot camp or the military?

We Answered:

Nope, but you could talk to a recruiter about Army prep school. It is at Ft Jackson. You have to meet the normal enlistment standards AND score a 50 on the ASVAB.

Those accepted for the program enlist in the Army, but instead of attending basic training after their time in the Reception Battalion, they attend the prep school. Upon completion of the program, and receiving a GED, they then attend basic training. In addition to intensive classroom training to prepare for the GED examination, recruits attending the prep school will also undergo daily physical training, be subject to Army discipline, and learn customs and traditions, to help prepare them for basic. Those who fail to successfully complete the program are returned to their hometown and given an entry-level separation, with no prejudices.

Good luck!

Dave Said:

can i take night classes to get my high school diploma?

We Answered:

Depending on where you live, the regular school system, the technical colleges, or community colleges may offer a special high school program for adults. A recent paper by the Social Sciences Research Network reveals that people with GEDs do not usually do as well as those with actual diplomas.

You will be better off if you can get a high school diploma. If not, then a GED is the next best alternative.

Jennifer Said:

i need to find a good high school diploma classes cause i'm 20 and i need it?

We Answered:

Many high schools and programs enroll up to age 21 in the district, but my suggestion might be to try for your GED. I started community college before receiving my GED(you don't have to have it to start classes atleast here), just before you graduate college to receive your degre. Mine was $80 and it took 2 1/2 days to take. If you think you need to brush up first, often they offer classes prior if you choose. I dropped out in 10th grade because I was pregnant with my first and moved in with the father of my baby. It was a bad move, but you can still go to college. In fact, now a days, most employers look for any college credit hours rather than a diploma. I never had a diploma, even through my 20's and it was never an issue. I had already had some college credit hours under my belt, and that's what really helped!

Online classes for HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA or GED?

We Answered:

If you get your diploma/GED from a school which is accredited to some reputed authorities like N.A.L.S.A.S., N.A.P.H.S., TACI etc. you won't face any problems during employment process. So while choosing online school make sure you check it's accreditation status first. http://www.foresttrailacademy.com which is accredited by the authorities mentioned above, provides online diploma/GED. You can try and contact them.
