Are there any ways to get a high school diploma without trying to retrieve transcripts from every school? We Answered:
last school will have all your information. Good luck!Joan Said:
Do colleges look at the type of your high school diploma? We Answered:
Unfortunately, from what i have heard all collleges, universities or state require i believe 2 semesters of foreign language, or the 3 years in high school.I do know that you can challenge that requirement as long as they have a challenge for it. What you can do is look for a community college that may off a challenge for turkish and that way you can get rid of that requirement.

What business related jobs can you get with High-School diploma? We Answered:
Jobs im unsure of but you should be able to get an internship somewhere. It might be grunt work but you will be in an office atmosphere, possbily make money, and learn a lot. I did an internship where I worked in the room with the sales people. I was always listening to sales calls, even sat in on a few sales meetings. I loved it.Jenny Said:
How much better is "some college" than just a high school diploma? We Answered:
2 years of college is an associates degree. But I would say, yes, any college is better then none, you could still be in college, that's why they have "some high school" or "some college" options...Chad Said:
Do High School Diplomas from other countries count in universities from other nations? We Answered:

example of a British high school diploma? We Answered:
In the UK we don't do the SATs that you sit in the USA. In year 9 (age 13/14), 6(age 10/11) and more recently 2 (age 6/7) we have something called SATs (pronouced as a word rather than the individual letters) but they test the general level in Maths, English and Science, usually to see how far the child is in line with the national average. The real education begins in years 10-11 (age 14-16) where you study for your GCSEs (General Certificate of Secondary Education previously known as O Levels). Depending on your institute you generally get to choose which subjects you wish to study and schools tend to make English, Maths and Science compulsary, others may include P.E or a language. The grades are from A* - G (pass) and U (ungraded meaning fail), though the accepted pass grades will be grades A* - C.
Prior to age 16, education is compulsary but post-16 education is optional and can go into various branches depending on the individual. One route is A(dvanced) Levels (or GCE) where you can do a maximum of 5 they say but if its for applying to university for a undergraduate degree (BA/BSc) they won't ask for more than 3 A level grades, where the grades range from A - E. Now however some university asked for Ucas points rather than grades which can make it easier to some extend as its the minimum points they require for entry which can be made up of a really low grade in one subject but high in another. So previously grades BBB was required but the new points sytem requires 300 which can be achieved by attaining grades ABC. These take 2 years to complete and made up of 6 units or can be taken as Intensive A Level whereby its completed in 1 year.
A Level tends to be considered more academic as its more exam based. If someone prefers a more vocational route they could do GNVQ(General National Vocational Qualification) / AVCE (Advanced Vocational Certificate of Education) instead as its more coursework based rather than exam. This is a little complicating.
First you have Part One Award GNVQ made up 3 units, and equivalent to an AS Level or 1 GCSE. Then you have the Full Award GNVQ made up 6 units equivalent to an A Level or 2 GCSEs. Both can be taken at a foundation or intermediate level. Finally you have AVCE which is 12 units, usually taken over 2 years, and equivalent to 2 A Levels. I actually did the full-award GNVQ in ICT alongside my GCSEs because my school offered it in replacement of the half GCSE it had the previous years. It was grade on the scale of, Distinction (A), Merit (B), Pass (C) and Fail (U). Some universities accept these as qualifying grades for entry onto the degree. Other universities prefer the academic route but it really depends on your chosen path.
Both A Levels and AVCEs are generally undertaken the two years after completing secondary education. Of course if someone wasn't following the traditional route they may of course take it after a gap or after doing something completly different. Of course ifsomeone wasn't going to university they may for example do some work-related study such as a Modern Apprenticeship or simply go straight into work. Others follow whatis best for their chosen career, for example, someone wanting to do childcare may do a CACHE Diploma (Council for Award in Childcare and Education) instead or do a BTEC National Diploma in Business/Science, again both more vocational.
If I'm correct, high school in the USA is the equivalent for education up to 18 in the UK, which is secondary education pre-16 and further education (College/6th Form) pre-18.
After which we have university (is it college for you?) degrees such as BSc (Bachelor of Science) and BA (Bachelor of Arts) known as the First Degree/Graduate. This usually takes 3 years full-time, 4 years sandwich (inc. 1 year work) or part-time. These are graded 1st Class, 2:1 (Upper 2nd), 2:2 (Lower 2nd), 3rd, Pass and Fail respectively.
After that you can do a Postgraduate (second degree) followed by the Phd (third degree) which gives the title Doctor before your name. Again different disciples have varying lengths. To be a doctor or engineer it takes more years to complete you degree than say a business degree.
Sorry if this was long-winded but hope it answered your question!
