There are eight state universities that have an online high school. Also, there is a virtual high school that is organized by the U.S. Department of Education, but your local public school system has to participate in order for you to take advantage of that.

Based on the phrasing of your question, I'm assuming you are still in school. Check with your school counselor to see if your school system participates in the virtual high school program.

If you are interested in going to college, there is an option that may be available in your school system. It is called Dual Enrollment. The way this works is you take classes at your local community college and you get both college credit and high school credit. You won't graduate early, but you'll graduate with a head start on your college education. Again, check with your school counselor.

There are a few state universities that have online high school programs. These are full high school programs and you will have to check with your counselor and the university about arranging transfers of credit.

If you have dropped out of high school, then any of the above four links will provide you with a perfectly valid education that will be accepted as equivalent to a public high school education.

Try Kaplin University because they also offer a high school program. Maybe if a person were missing a few high school credits they could take them online, and then move into the University classes.
