How does online degree courses work ? ?

We Answered:

Online degree programs are meant for those who cannot or do not wish to attend regular classes. So how do they work? Well all that is required is a computer with internet access. Upon enrollment in an online college or university, you will be provided with access to their online education portal through which you would be able to access online study material, courses, lectures as well as interactive activities such as chat rooms, forums etc to connect with your virtual class fellows. You will be given projects with deadlines, and you can work on them anytime of the day, whenever you are free and from wherever you are most comfortable.

Yes you can acquire your AA degree from an online college or university and then transfer into a traditional college. You can find complete information about online degrees and a list of online institutions and their degrees at:

What is your opinion about taking Degree Courses Online?

We Answered:

When searching for an online university to earn a degree, there are some dangers to look out for.

Study the university website and reflect on its advertising strategies. One warning sign that the uni you're eyeing is actually a diploma mill is a sense of urgency in its advertising. Oftentimes prospective students are encouraged to enroll immediately, before tuition or fees are increased, or told that they qualify for a fellowship, scholarship or grant. Basically, if it sounds much too good to be true, you should be suspicious.

Did the institution advertise using spam? You can be fairly sure the institution's a mill.

If you've been unfortunate enough to actually be pulled into a diploma mill institution, you may be able to realize before it's too late and pull out. Very little interaction with professors is one other sign that an online university is actually a mill. Often mills provide no corrections, meaningful comments, or even grades.

Of course, it's a nontraditional subject area you're interested in, you'll need to take extra caution. Unlike hard sciences, more unusual or esoteric subjects are often perfect for pulling the wool over students' eyes. These include universities in pseudosciences like astrology, hypnotism, and natural healing.

The esoteric nature of these kinds of learning system makes external verification difficult for students, since education standards and credentials may be defined by the diploma mill's own staff rather than established or traditional criteria.

What universities/schools in the philippines offer online degree courses?

We Answered:

As far as I know, only the University of the Philippines Open University offers online courses. Try googling them. They have a wide array of courses to choose from.

Marc Said:

Do any universities offer enough online courses to finish a degree?

We Answered:

A LOT of universities offer online classes (including ivy leagues- even harvard does!) Just check that the colleges around you have the classes you need and that they offer them online, apply, and just register for only the online classes. I'm currently taking 4 online classes through the local community college. Good luck!

online degree courses - which is the best?

We Answered:

No contest! The Open University is in a class of its own when it comes to distance learning. It regularly makes the UK top 10 against traditional unis and its teaching materials are used in brick unis as they are so well developed. With such a large student body, they have the facilities to really think through their courses.

The university was started in the 1970s under Harold Wilson (one of the only competent things he ever did) to allow a second chance for those excluded from conventional unis which at that time were very difficult to get into. Distance learning is all they do which is why it is so good at it.

Go to their website, there are a wealth of courses for every taste and nowadays there are on line conferencing facilities that allow them to teach subjects like German too.

Discuss It!
