Fred Said:

question about OSSD(Ontario secondary school diploma)?

We Answered:

no, you can't get into university if you do not have your diploma. just take a summer school course in music or art or something. I think that there are computer courses that count for art now....but I'm not sure.

LOST OSSD (Ontario Secondary School Diploma)?

We Answered:

Call or write to the Toronto Distict School Board, and tell them you need a 'certified copy' of your diploma ... or get two and keep one in a safety deposit box or small home 'safe' where you can't 'lose it' and you'll always have it.

Charles Said:

What's the difference between these High School graduate certificates and diploma?

We Answered:

The Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) is granted to a student who has completed a minimum of 30 credits (18 compulsory and 12 optional), a minimum of 40 hours of community involvement and must pass the provincial secondary school literacy test.

The Ontario Secondary School Certificate (OSSC) is granted to a student who leaves school before completing the requirements for the OSSD as long as they've earned a minimum of 14 credits (7 compulsory and 7 optional). There is no community involvement or literacy test requirements.

The Certificate of Accomplishment is granted to a student who leaves school before completing the requirements for the OSSC.

You can get more information about these from pages 8-12 of the document "Ontario Secondary Schools, Grades 9-12: Program and Diploma Requirements 1999" http://www.edu.gov.on.ca/eng/document/cu…

Ontario Secondary School Diploma equivalent in Quebec?

We Answered:

I'm an Ontario university student. I haven't been able to find information for admissions to Kemptville College specifically, but at the University of Guelph it says the equivalent of an Ontario Secondary School Diploma in Quebec is "Senior High School Leaving Certificate or High School Leaving Certificate plus 12 academic credits from an appropriate CEGEP program." (I've included the link below)

I'm not entirely sure if this follows for the program you're applying to. I would assume so, but you should definitely call or email the college to make sure of this.

I hope this helps! Good luck :)

Marion Said:

As an adult how can I complete my Ontario Secondary School Diploma?

We Answered:

Check with the school board in Toronto. Sometimes you can challenge the courses, or submit life experience in lieu of classroom study. If that doesn't work you can always complete high school through either night school or correspondence courses. But the school board is your best source of information for any of these routes.
Good luck to your husband.
