what jobs can you get with an associate's degree in early childhood education? what about with a bachelor's?We Answered:
It really depends on the licensing requirements in the state where you plan on working. I am in the process of getting my Bachelor's in ECE and am a Pre-K teacher in a day care center. While I do not have an Associate's, I did have enough experience and ECE classes under my belt to qualify me as Head Teacher under Delaware State regulations. The big difference between having your AA and BS is what you can expect in pay. Teachers in day care settings make half of what the same do in public schools- which require the Bachelor's. Your best bet is to start interning at a center, and take any education classes that your high school may offer. Hope this has helped. Congratulations on narrowing down your choices and best of luck in the future!Nicholas Said:
What is the difference between Bachelor of Disciplinary Studies and Bachelor In Early Childhood Education? We Answered:
Many Bachelor of Early Childhood Education programs are being eliminated because the field is flooded with too many would-be teachers who want to play with kids all day and make crafts. I think a Disciplinary Studies degree is the new alternative. I don't know that there's much of a difference though.
