if you are looking for a INVESTMENT option in the name of your kid, i will not suggest you a life insurance plan in the name of kid.

However if you are looking for a insurance plan to protect the future of your kid against all odds of the life then I will suggest you to go for a insurance plan in your own name and child as a benificiary.

Hi ambica. Actually all the Unit linked insurance policies have the same purpose i.e. insurance and investments. Terming the insurance as Child plans makes no difference but it adds emotional pitch to the product. My suggestion go for the policy which attracts lowest allocation charges, which are very high in initial years on all child plans.

Just analyze charges of Bajaj Allian i gain ULIP with any other ULIP plans you willing to invest.
This policy has lowest allocation charges
Upto 0% allocation charges in first year depending on the premium amount
0% allocation charges 2 nd year onwards
0% allocation charges on topup premium

actually this policy can be bought online only, without involving any agent and hence company has kept the charges really low> Reason is simple, agents commision share has been passed on to the customer.

as noted, the child is a US citizen at birth. the child wouldn't be able to sponsor you for immigrant status until it turns 21. a child of foreigners not born in the US is a foreigner. so, whatever right or status you and your husband have to stay, the child would have as well, nothing more, or less.
