normally a certificate is only about 25 credits and an assoc. abou 66 credits from a local community college or college. a certificate is a much less involved and fewer classes. just as an associates requires fewer classes than a 4 year degree.

with a certificate you can work in a daycare as a teacher, in a preschool as a teacher assistant or a school system as a teacher assistant. with an associates you can be a lead teacher in a daycare or preschool, a teacher assistant in a public school, in some states you can be a substitute teacher in a public school, a daycare director.

of course you'd have more choices with the more education you have.
