Early Childhood Education Jobs

Jason Said:

What kind of jobs come with an Early Childhood Education degree? What level: AS, BA, MA?

We Answered:

Here in Alabama, Early Childhood Education majors at the bachelors level (BS) are certified to teach from prekindergarten up to grade 3. This means they can teach in a preschool or in a public (or private) school from kindergarten up to third grade. Many are in great demand in kindergarten.

early childhood education jobs?

We Answered:

You probably can't get a job as a teacher without practical experience in the classroom. Even though you have experience with children, you'd need to be in a situation where your work would be observed by a mentor from your university. You could probably work as a teacher's assistant or aide until you can finish your ECE degree.

associate's degree in early childhood education jobs?

We Answered:

You could probably teach or assistant teach at a private school or daycare with an Associate's, although at some point they'd want you to get your Bachelor's degree in ECE.

If you go on and get your Bachelor's degree you could get certified for teaching in a public or private school. States vary but your certification would probably be from preschool or pre-k to 2nd or third grade.

We Answered:

In some states, this is an associate degree. You could be a para at a school, a substitute teacher, or work in a day care setting. Check for your state requirements and think about visiting a career counselor at your local high school or college**FAN
