What is the difference between earning a degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education? We Answered:
Early education allows you to teach Preschool through second or third grade. An elementary ed degree allows you to teach first grade through eighth. Some of this depends on the state in which you live.Because you already have a degree you may want to see what the qualifications are for earning a teaching certicate. This also varies depending where you live.

How is early childhood education in the Middle East?We Answered:
Hi Asmaa. My husband is Saudi and they don't have day cares or preschools there. Well they have preschools but they are usually run by Western women whose husbands are working in Saudi Arabia. The majority of Saudi women are stay at home moms so there is no need for day cares or preschools in Saudi Arabia. Only 5% of the women in Saudi Arabia work. Family is very important in Saudi Arabia and many of the women stick to their womanly role of being wife and mother. I am not sure about the other Gulf countries.Jeffrey Said:
What is the difference between Early Childhood Education and Elementary Education? We Answered:
It depends on your state and what test you will have to take for certification. I know people with early childhood that have a pre-k through 5th grade certification even. I have an elementary certificate and mine is 1st - 6th grades. The core classes are typically the same, but the electives will be more restricted to early childhood development. Talk to your education department head to find out what exactly is covered by your program. The university website should also be able to differentiate between the two.Andre Said:
What is the best online school for early childhood education? We Answered:
Thomas Edison State College was the lowest-cost, and got me the credits I needed. I transferred over to another college to fill out my last 2 yrs of a 4 yr degree. You DO have to check what college you plan to transfer too. Some colleges won't transfer TESC credits. No rhyme or reason! Our local state college said no to half the credits. The state one the town over said yes.Gilbert Said:
What is the difference between a degree in early childhood education and elementary education? We Answered:
It's not the degree that matters, it's the certification you get afterward.
