Brett Said:

Do I need a formal education in software development to get a job in the software development industry?

We Answered:

It is always a good thing to seek higher education, however not everyone has the time to commit to a full time 4 year school. There are good software development schools that you can attend from home. You can find many online training programs that can help you earn the education required to enter the industry of software development.

What to do with a Masters of Education in Counseling and Development?

We Answered:

You are wise to realize that your choice of major will affect what you can do at the Master's level. If possible, contact a few universities which offer the Master's in counseling and development and find out what the entrance requirements are. Do they require a bachelor's in specific fields, or will they accept a wide range? Obviously, if most schools tell you that you will need a Bachelor's in sociology, for example, in order to get accepted into the Master's program you are interested in, then the choice has been made for you, and you start taking sociology classes. If, on the other hand, a wide variety of majors is accepted, then it would be wise to choose something you are curious about and give it a try. It is relatively simple to change your major in undergraduate school, as long as you don't wait too long or do it too often, so this is your opportunity to take a chance on something you are interested in.

how does the television helps in a child's education development?

We Answered:

For TV:
TV that teaches your child something about his world is most beneficial for him to grasp the things that are happening outside of his house. Sesame Street has always been a good teacher for our kids. The most benefit comes when mom or dad can watch the program with their child and give input to their child on what they're watching.

Against TV:
There's almost nothing on network TV that's good for our children. If you have cable or satelite TV, you have some better choices. Discovery, The History Channel, A&E and The Weather Channel all have educationl programs that are beneficial, but most of the other programs only feed the senses, and do nothing to educate your child appropriately.

Again, if you can't watch the program WITH your child, turn it off. You are still the best teacher for your child, and you know what he needs. Get some books, and appropriate videos that will help guide your child, without cluttering their minds with violence, sex and rudeness. They'll learn all that stuff when they go to school. Keep your home as a place of refuge and comfort. A place they know is always constant. <*)))><

what would an education development director job be in a charity?

We Answered:

It depends on what the mission of the charity is, what people it serves, and its other programs/departments. So without a LOT more information, this question can't be answered.
