Education In Australia

Alice Said:

Education in Australia, What i need to get to dentistry in sydney uni?

We Answered:

Firstly, Dentistry requires a very high score to get in as an undergraduate, and it's not much different as a mature age student or getting in otherwise than out of high school.

Advice on preparation courses:
- Do mostly Maths and Science subjects. These are the technical requirements when applying.
- Investigate your prep course and find out how they grade it, and make sure that it is actually possible to get a high enough grade to get into dentistry. Check with Sydney Uni to find out what the grade is.

In addition to that, if you're not going through the high school system, then make an appointment to see the Dean of Dentistry and find out how you will be evaluated. I did this, and had an opportunity to reassure him (Qld Uni) that I was committed to the course and knew what I was getting into.

Good luck.

Education Australia?

We Answered:

G'day,

You'll have to be more specific in your question mate! What level of education have you got? What level of education are you looking to study in? Certificate? Diploma? Bachelor? Masters? I'm sure you understand that different level has different requirement.

What do you mean by procedure? Procedure of study? Procedure of applying?

Any particular city in Australia you are interested to study in? Brisbane? Sydney?

Sorry only to give you more questions than answers. However it is hard to give the right answer without knowing some of the info. Anyway... for the list of institutions, the online database are listed below.

Hope this helps. Ketchalater...

Ella Said:

Would it be relatively easy for a US citizen who received medical education in Australia to get work?

We Answered:

Don't know but I do know that Australian doctors can get training positions easily in the UK, unlike American doctors.

I'd prefer to live in Adelaide than Liverpool, Melbourne than Birmingham. Darwin versus Newcastle or Sydney versus London, I don't know but lean towards the Australian cities.

As far as nurses and pharmacists, I don't know. They are sort of medical, too.

thomson education australia?

We Answered:

I am not sure of what state in your in, but who ever you do your course with please insure that they are a RTO Registered Training Organization, as if the certificate does not have a RTO symbol and number on it, it may not be accepted by an employer.

TAFE is a RTO and they offer an online course, and the link has a good outline of the course.

I also found a Victorian online service that is registered and they also offer cert 3 in Aged Care.

Thomson education in now Cengage Education and they to are a RTO, and they do offer a Aged Care online course too.

The costs may vary between each service, and the course outline should have similar content.

Hope this helps
