Life and education in Switzerland?(Details needed)? We Answered:
The best hotel management schools are in Switzerland. So good for you that you want to go there.Lausanne, which hosts the school that is ranked highest, is in the French speaking part of Switzerland. The expectation will be that you speak at least three languages fluently: Your native Turkish, English, and French. Ideally you should additionally at least understand some German and Italian as well.
In case you have already started learning French you can expect to become fully fluent relatively soon - languages are easiest to learn, when you are fully immersed.
Swiss people tend to be formal and seem very distanced - especially compared to people from the US. When you respect this distance you will find that most Swiss people are very friendly and open.
Cost of living is relatively hight. Food depends on the area you are in. Swiss food shows a tendency to mimic the language - French influence in the the French speaking parts, Italian influence in the Italian speaking parts, German influence in the German speaking parts. You will find lots of dairy products. Depending on the school you might get to eat what the future cooks of that school produce. That will range from local to international to whatever fancy the cooking teachers have that day.
Regarding safety you need not to worry. Petty crime is nearly not existent.
For more information I suggest you visit the Swiss Consulate closest to you and check with Wikipedia.
