Can a child of a Vietnam vet recieve education benefits? We Answered:
Jdub's answer is pretty good, but let me adlib on it.Your education benefits through VA will depend on the level of VA benefits that your father is entitled to. The benefit levels are based on need and injuries as well as combat experience. A veteran with a purple heart could receive more VA benefits than your father with two bronze stars.
The VA Web site has a lot of information, but it's better to talk to a VA counselor. There are unpublished loop holes in the VA system that could bring your father more benefits than he realizes. Best of all, it's free to talk with them and they're usually very helpful.
So stop by or call the closest VA hospital near you to find out exactly what you or your father is entitled to.

Vietnam past education system?We Answered:
Vietnamese education system was mirrored the French education system. Ðê tam (10grade) ( Second) Ðê Nhi (11 grade) (Première) Ðê Nhât (12 grade) (Terminale) are the last 3 classes that you have to pass all 3 in order to graduate high school. It was much harder than the US education system and it required more studying. Later on, the one requirement to graduate high school is to pass that 3 days test. No wonder Vietnamese students are much more discipline than most other students. My brother, when he came to the states, he was only 17 and didn't finish high school in Vietnam. (He escaped from Vietnam in the middle of the night after the communist took over) He registered to go to college and earn a MBA later as an honor student. I always tease him that he has a MBA but don't have a high school diploma.Nora Said:

Vietnam education and jobs?We Answered:
As usual, all the other "regular" posters get a "thumbs up" from me. I know that the standards for obtaining a high school diploma are woefully low, but Buon Giorno is right. "How you be gonna teach English when you can't speak it properly?" Obtaining an English Teaching Certificate will get you a well paying job in Saigon. (I have heard they pay upwards of $25/hour USD).If I were you're age, I would get a college degree in either English or an Engineering field. Petroleum, mining and construction companies from all over the world offer American size salaries along with bonuses to compensate for living in a "disadvantaged" country like Viet Nam.
The government is also spending HUGE amounts of money building hydro-electric plants, bridges, schools and everything else you can dream of.
Do a bit more research before you come here with just a high school diploma. The opportunities in Viet Nam are limitless if you are well educated and motivated. Sooooooooo, don't be a knuckle-head, Stay In School!

"Are there any images of educational computer applications written in the Vietnamese language?"
If there is anything I can do to help, please feel free to contact me. Good luck and best wishes to you.
