Glen Said:

Can you help me find two contrasting news articles on the lack of male teachers?

We Answered:

To be quite honest I don't think that you are going to find an article on this problem from a feminist angle as the feminists have it all covered! There are so few male teachers in primary schools for all the generally accepted reasons.
1. Men find the risks of being accused of "inappropriate behaviour" not
worth taking.
2. Most primary heads are women who (and I speak from bitter
experience of several female heads) seem to delight in keeping
men staff in their places.
3. Many parents seem to be of the opinion that male staff in primary
schools have an unhealthy attitude towards children, especially girls.

What are some negative effects of homeschooling?

We Answered:

I went to public school from 8th grade on. I graduated 2 years earlier than all my friends! I found homeschooling awesome. I got to pick the specifics of subjects I liked. Studying Forensic Science instead of something I hated. The only drawback is maybe not enough socialization, but that depends on the person! I had friends and also missed out on stuff like dances but I am very happy I home schooled!

Dawn Said:

What do you guys thinking about illegals agreed to pay California state tuitions?

We Answered:

These are children of people who came into the U.S. without papers illegally. The kids are required to have graduated from high school here. It has no effect on the economy because instead of joining a street gang or working in a MacDonald's, they will be paying tuition like any other resident. So they will contribute more than they are taking away from the state.
