the point is that nobody is educated for jobs that are useful. we don't need anymore cosmetic surgeons and weapons engineers. we need caregivers and civil engineers. and most other countries are leaving America in the dust educationally. for most of the 20th century the USA dominated the world because they had the most cutting edge thinking and technology. few americans are willing to admit it's not 1956 anymore. we need an updated workforce, and we need skilled, high paying jobs, and we need progressive thinking about how to resolve our diffiulties. the biggest cause of the problems with the economy is that people have gotten lazy and don't want to have to work for anything, just charge and charge and charge, and rack up something for nothing.

i think freeing up credit will help but getting people back to work and having them pay taxes will help just as much. the bailouts are bs since they have been fat for far too long

Education will be benefited but probably not to the extent that it should for the amount money that is spent. In this case the cart comes before the horse with money chasing the programs rather than programs chasing the money./

I hate it. If politicians want us to have a competitive, and skilled workforce don't cut education spending. Anything but that. Obviously cutting funding for education seems to be the first thing cut nowadays. Very very dumb idea.

Republican or Democrat.

Rick Perry and any other politician are history when voting time comes, because the government is suppose to be FOR THE PEOPLE NOT FOR THE GOVERNMENT.
