Educational Activities For Kids

Ralph Said:

What is the service that mails kids a monthy educational activity and book.?

We Answered:

Highlights for Kids magazine? They also have one for younger preschool/kindergarteners. http://www.highlights.com/highlights-mag…
If you have an elementary school aged kid who's into animals, Ranger Rick is also a favorite.

Nathaniel Said:

What are your fav free kid activities in Los Angeles?

We Answered:

Our favorite? The beaches. Each one has something different to offer. Sometimes I'll bring toys so she can build, sometimes we collect shells, sometimes we climb around the Laguna tide pools and search for creatures... I try to do something different each time. We can spend 6 hours easily.

The other place I like to take her is up to the mountains to go hiking and have a picnic. We're closest to Mt Baldy, but all the mountains in So Cal are beautiful. :)

Educational Activities For Kids.... Any Ideas For Me?

We Answered:

a similar game I've done with my kids is to have the kids stand. I say one word to start a story and each person must say one word to continue the story. If they stumble, pause, etc, they sit. I've also had them be able to add in punctuation to end the sentences or add inflection.
