My daughter grew up using the "jump start grade 1" by knowledge adventure and each year for Christmas she got all the games up to Jump start grade 6. They have jump start kinder garden down to toddler now.
I cant say enough about the programs they have self adjusting levels, several different games, rewards for progress,cute little animated hosts that guide your child through each step, great graphics, a report on your child's progress, and they"re reasonably priced.
The only thing is to always be handy to help with the harder questions so she wont loose interest.

I would say that jumpstart is the best!!!! I am 14 years old now. But back when I was 11 and below, every birthday I would ask for a jumpstart game. My dad got me a jumpstart 1st grade hwn I was in the first grade. And it was AWSOME!!!!! As I went up to higher grades I bought the higher and higher grade ones (2nd, 3rd, 4th). Right now I have jupstart 6th grade. I don't play it anymore but when I am really bored, I just grab the game cuz it's still quite enjoyable.
