Maybe this is not a myth, but I heard or read it somewhere.

A tribe in some part of the world lives in the forest and considers the trees to be their best friends. Even Gods. They don't ever cut down a tree for their needs. What they do, when they need to fell a tree, is to go to the tree in unison. And they encircle the tree and curse it. Full of hate and cursing, wishing the tree dried up an fell on its own. This goes on for days. And then finally, sensitive as they are, the green tree withers away. The leaves fall off and the tree dies.

Maybe humans are not much different. And may be children are more sensitive in picking up the negative vibes.

I got one of them..and its not..i myself did not go because of the cost (plus i was gonna miss halloween) but my guidance councilor nominated me..My friend told me its pretty much what it sounds like..a Conference..Unfortunately she also said they call you out and put you on the spot..My letter said i will receive a medal and certificate even if i did not attend..which i did not get acctually..but do some research and see if you are interested..put the link below
