A lot of people there left early (got their's done early), and they were pretty shaggy.

I was going for a high score, because an in-state scholarship was being offered to those who scored 325. I got a 298.

You can do one subject a day for a week, or all in one day, which is like 8 hours.

It only costs like $75, and you know if you passed right away.

Colleges do not recognize IEPS-that is ineffective once teh high school diloma is received-

Colleges are required to make accommodations--but not as many as an IEP--it is done under section 504 of teh rehab act

for instance-some colleges will not allow course substitutions--An IEP may allow a student to graduate after only passing pre algebra--but if algebra or other advanced math is required to graduate form colleg-they do not necessarily have to allow a substitute math course--tehy way make a case that it will fundamentally alter teh college program

some colleges will--i knew someone withOUT a LD--he was exempt from teh foreign language requirement-even though he passed it inhigh school--adn teh college course was at the same level-Spanish 1 and 2...

colleges to regualrly give accommodations--extra time, technology support, etc..--they will do this even if there was not an IEP-but the student is found to have LD in college

Get the high school diploma, it shows you aren't a quitter. People who get GEDs have a stigma, these are often given to behavior problem people or people who have been incarcerated.

Get a tutor for the math. I tutored a high school sophomore to pass the exit exam. With a good tutor, you can learn enough math to pass the test.

Additionally if you truly have learning disabilities that are confirm-able by a physcian you can get special testing accommodations like a longer time allotment.

The only way to go to a college without the SAT and just a GED is a community college, a regular college you need your GED and the SATs. And you have to wait till your 18.

Looks like you'll wind up with a few health-related courses the first year, but the second is all nursing.

Locals can go from "zero" to "degree" for about 10-grand, too.

A GED is a very poor option instead of a regular diploma.. You will be looked upon by most people as a dropout who could not complete high school in the normal fashion.

That said there are many courses given for free or with very little money to prepare you for the examination. Your local high school, school district office, public library, churches and social service agencies usually can help you find one or more of them in you local area.
