There re so few dance jobs and the people who get them are people who have been training since they were 7 and dancing 20-30 hours a weeks with tons of natural talent and facility. If you have been dancing only 3 years and mostly hip hop, you will not have the dance technique to compete with them.
I suggest you take some dance classes while you are at nursing school. Because you have a passion for dance, indulge it and take classes. Have fun. It is great exercise and feeds your soul. You really are not prepared enough for a career as a professional at your age no matter how much natural talent you may have.
