Journal is another name for a periodical or magazine, especially one published for a special group, learned society, or profession, such as the October issue of 'The English Journal', or it can be a newspaper such as the 'Wall Street Journal'.

If your project requires you to find two research journals then you must first decide what you are writing about. If I wrote an article about the research that I have been doing involving children with learning disabilities I might consider publishing my work in the 'Journal of American Medicine' and also
'The Journal of the Association of Teachers'.

The reason being, my research involved both medical findings and different teaching findings.

Almost every occupation has some sort of journal published for their members. These journals are where professionals learn the most up to date information about their profession.

The database to use to find scholarly articles from reputable journals in the field of psychology is called "PsychInfo". The majority of colleges have access to this database. Go to the university library, and ask the librarian to help you get started.

p.s. Another good database to use for psych articles that pertain to educational topics is called ERIC.
