Maria Said:
Can I draw my unemployment and go to college? We Answered:
This would be entirely up to your state.A few years ago, I lost a job due to a plant closing. I found out that through the local community college, you could go to college, free, for a semester if you were in this category. I could, I did, and I still collected.
So, 1. check with your unemployment office, and, 2. check with the college you plan to attend.
I did ask the college, " what happens if I would find a job wthat conflicts with my college schedule.Their reply""
" we might have to adjust your class schedule."but certainly I would not be deprived of the opportunity to complete the courses.
Hey, don't be so nervous. Relax, and good luck.
